This could be the best film of all time. Or at the very least the JCVD film of all time. After Bloodsport. And Kickboxer.

What was that one wwith Bruce Lee’s ghost in, was it called No Retreat, No Surrender or am I gettin mixed up with the UVF now? It has been a long day….

The Crucible does not stand up to repeared viewings sadly. It is far too static for film, more suited to the stage.

    2. Reservoir Dogs
    3. The Godfather
    4. Raging Bull
    5. The Big Lebowski

I really don’t get why The Dark Knight is considered a great film and can only conclude it is because Heath Ledger died.

There Will Be Blood was flawed but surely it wasn’t that bad?

    Worst.

    1. Practical Magic.
    2. Lost in Space.
    3. City Slickers 2 (The Legend of Curly’s Gold)
    4. Bridget Jones’s Diary
    5. Parenthood

    Worst 5…

    1. Dogma
    2. Batman & Robin
    3. Austin Powers 3 (Goldmember)
    4. O’Brother Where Art Thou
    5. Charmed

Reasons why Dark Knight is a top class film.

    1. Great all round performances, Ledger include, but the bets performance is from Gary Oldman who, last time I looked, was still alive.
    2. Heightened tension throughout, resulting in a thrilling 2 plus hours.
    3. Incredible camera work.
    4. Thrilling old style stunts and a refreshingly small amount of CGI.
    5. Just general fucking excellence throughout.

There Will Be Blood was overblown tosh. Unbearable overacting from Day-Lewis, the whole thing with the same guy playing twins wasn’t explained and didn’t work, and the whole thing was done better about 70 years ago when it was called Citizen Kane.

Bridget Jones’ Diary is brilliant by the way, for what it is. So’s Parenthood, including the chara

Also, I forgot abot The Recruit in my worst 5. A truly risable experience.

might have seen one of the worst films ever last night – i only managed to put up with 15 mins of it that kurt cobain film about a son. what a load of…

bascially its the audio of kurt talking throughout the film from old interviews or what not no problem with that but they have tried to illustrate what hes talking about by having short films or photos like the place where hes from etc. doesnt even have any nirvana music in the film at all. rubbish. ken, its basically an audiobook which they have tried to make into a film.

    anyone seen it?

Naw, but probably Courtney ‘I look like a transsexual now’ Love stopped them from using any Nirvana music. I did see another film based on his last days but that’s doesn’t explicitly say it’s about Kurt Cobain but it is. Anywi, it was complete drivel.
