Read through about 30 of them. My learnings:

    1. People who murder don’t have much to say
    2. People who believe in god/allah are more likely to commit murder

I had spagbol for tea last night.
God be with you. Praise Allah.

Then you are near incapable of learning.

These people who are about to be murdered by the state mention love more than anything else. The love they have for their family and friends and even in some cases for their gaolers.

Bear in mind that these statements are taken moments before the execution and therefore are a hundred times more eloquent because of it. I think they are a deeply profound insight into our shared humanity and shine a massive spotlight on the injustice of the death penalty.

These would be an approximation of my last words in a similar situation.

“I would just like to say… sob, sob, sob, please don’t kill me, please…. sob…sob… (snot running down face), please, i don’t want to die…sob (slavers everywhere).”

Perhaps you too might turn to magical people in the sky if you were faced with imminent execution.

“To my mother who truly has been hurt the most, your love and strength I carry with me always. Take care of my son. I’m finally free and I’m going home to grandmother now. I love you all and God bless.”

Here are the first random 3…

    1.

“For those who oppose the death penalty and want to see it end, our best bet is to vote for Barack Obama because his supporters have been working behind the scenes to end this practice.”

Of course! BA is giving the death row prisoners the latest inside track for his manifesto, whilst keeping us free non-murderers out of the loop.

    2.

“Don’t cry, it’s my situation. I got it. Hold tight, It’s going to shine on the golden child. Hold tight. I love you, I’m through with my statement.”

Thanks ‘Golden Child’. What a hero.

    3.

“No, I love you. May the Lord be with you. Peace, I’m done.”

Ah! At last! This is what mormanski spoke about. A loving, religious & peaceful man named Michael Rosales… so what’s his story then?

On June 4, 1997, Rosales was in the process of committing burglary of a habitation when he entered the home of a 60-year-old female. Rosales claims he did not know she was home, and he was subsequently discovered while committing burglary. Rosales grabbed a kitchen knife from the victim’s kitchen, stabbed her 137 times, and struck her with a hard object resulting in her death.

    Peace out.
